General overview of my observations of asteroid occultations in 2025.
The occultation of a star by asteroid 2003 HE13 - 02 April 2025
Today I managed to record an asteroidal occultation by asteroid 2003 HE13. Estimated diameter of the asteroid is a little over 6km.
The occultation of a star by asteroid 1999 CH8 - 21 March 2025
Today I managed to record an asteroidal occultation by asteroid 1999 CH8. Estimated diameter of the asteroid is a little over 12km. The shape of the lightcurve shows a clear occultation with a good signal-to-noise ratio. It's a joy to do occultations like this.
The occultation of a star by asteroid Barker - 19 March 2025
Asteroid 7868 Barker was named after a researcher and scientist at the McDonald Observatory at the University of Texas at Austin. It is currently estimated to be 16 km in diameter.
The occultation of a star by asteroid Nestor - 03 February 2025
This occultation is by asteroid Nestor (659). It is a Jupiter trojan with a diameter of approximately 110 kilometers. It was discovered on March 23, 1908 by German astronomer Max Wolf at the Heidelberg Observatory in southern Germany and named after King Nestor of Greek mythology.
The occultation of a star by asteroid Tsusakamoto - 30 January 2025
Asteroid 23950 Tsusakamoto was named for a researcher Tsuyoshi Sakamoto at the Japan Spaceguard Association. The previously estimated diameter of 3.52 km was refined to approximately 4.5 km by this occultation.

First positive occultation this year. Weather and work commitments are limiting my astronomical work these days.
