This first positive asteroidal occulation of this year. A bright star, good observation conditions allowed for a very short exposure time during capturing. This was crucial for recording the beautiful diffractions.

After a month, it was finally nice one night and it happened - a positive occultation of asteroid Menzel. It is my 60th positive asteroidal occultation.

There was a partial solar eclipse in the sky. Clouds occasionally marred the celestial show, but most were viewable.
